So much praise has been heaped on Obama these last several weeks, but it sounds like he might be giving it all away here.
Buried in this Politico article is the fact that he is ok with slowing the growth of entitlements. We all know what that means. Medicare means testing, possibly changes to Social Security, which needs no changes at all.
The narrative is further confused because Obama has expressed openness to the work being done by Republicans in both chambers. Obama sounded receptive to the House plan by pointing to one of its features: He said it would increase money for military, education and health care, while slowing down the growth of entitlement programs, according to Republican senators.

We need to stop this in its tracks. It's unbelievable that Obama would give away so much when Republicans are way, way back on their heals. It makes me wish Reid was back in charge of these negotiations.
